On November 24, 2024, the 22nd Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition (referred to as "Guangzhou Auto Show") successfully closed its curtains at the Pazhou·Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou. The ten-day automotive industry event attracted 853,000 visitors, held 77 press conferences, and involved nearly 12,000 journalists from nearly 5,000 domestic and foreign media organizations.
With the theme "New Technology, New Life," this year's show focused on the latest developments in new energy vehicles and intelligent technologies. A total of 1,171 vehicles were displayed, including 512 new energy vehicles, accounting for 43.7% of the total, setting a historical high. This not only showcases the international influence of the Guangzhou Auto Show but also reflects the trend of brand globalization.
Against the backdrop of accelerated electrification and intelligence, companies such as GAC Honda, GAC Toyota, and XPeng Motors showcased their latest achievements in the fields of electrification transformation and intelligent technologies. GAC Honda announced its electrification transformation plan, GAC Toyota launched the brand-new SUV Bo Zhi 3X equipped with L2++ level intelligent driving technology, and XPeng Motors introduced a new intelligent driving software covering multiple scenarios based on the Turing AI intelligent driving system.
In addition, the show also held a variety of concurrent events, including the 2024 Automotive Innovation Conference, the Automotive Electronics Industry Sourcing Conference, and the Cross-Border Selection Sourcing Special Session, to promote high-quality development of the automotive industry. Especially, the "sea, land, and air" three major experience activities became the focus of the entire venue, including the floating water experience area of Yangwang brand, the L4 level autonomous driving experience area of Ruqi Mobility, and the flight display of XPeng Huitian, fully demonstrating the new quality production force of China's automotive industry.
As the 2024 Guangzhou International Auto Show comes to a perfect end, the 23rd Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition is scheduled to be held from November 21 to 30, 2025, at the Canton Fair Complex, expected to bring more new technology and new life to the automotive industry showcase.
